Perry Mooney is a Yuwi (You-ee) person from Mackay with strong South Sea Islander heritage stemming from the Solomon Islands, as well as English and Irish family ties. She is an accomplished First Nations Runway model and mentor having walked in two Australian Fashion Weeks (AAFW), both 2021 and 2022, but has walked in many shows going back as far as 2013. Perry wishes to continue to inspire young First Nations people in the modeling industry in the hopes that we will one day saturate the market.

She has also appeared in multiple commercials for large brands, such as RACQ and Subway, and plays the role of ‘Molly’ in the Netflix rom-com “Romance on the Menu“. Although, she is most well-known for her appearance in the ‘Dear Mind’ campaign by the Queensland Government, which targets awareness around Queenslander’s mental well-being within the community.

Currently she is working as part of the First Nations Fashion and Design team exercising her other passion for arts administration.
