First Nations Talent Agency is a business founded on a passionate belief in advocating for representation of Indigenous people in Australia, we have a strong commitment to developing new talent and giving back tangible change on the ground while doing it.
Wendy Tisdell OAM, Steph’s wonderful mother, is the founder and director of BridgIT Water Foundation which has been providing water and sanitation solutions to 940,000 people (and counting) in marginalised areas or developing countries around the world.
BridgIT Water Foundation’s vision is to create a global movement to better the quality of life for often forgotten communities, through providing access to resources that should be a basic human right, rather than a privilege. Even during the height of the pandemic in 2020-2021, BridgIT Water Foundation restored safe drinking water for nearly 80,000 people throughout India, Nepal, Uganda and Ethiopia, effectively improving community health and wellbeing, agriculture, education and household economies.
Steph approached Wendy with the idea to work with FNTA and create a domestic arm of BridgIT Water foundation to positively impact Australia’s own remote communities. Thus, a partnership was formed and a percentage of all FNTA’s profits has been pledged toward BridgIT projects from inception.
With Wendy’s passion and expertise and a shared calling for creating positive change for Indigenous Australians, we endeavour to empower our remote communities – not just through promotion of blak talent or development and production of shows on country. But also through establishing projects to foster sustainable practices in areas that are still affected by water or resource scarcity in a first world country.
