Who is FNTA??
The rich tapestry of experiences that can be found across the hundreds of Indigenous nations in Australia is astounding. We strongly believe that understanding is the truest path to reconciliation; and understanding that there is no singular representation of what it means to be blak in this country is important. We want to step away from tokenism into a space where our unique voices are celebrated.

First Nations Talent Agency is an entertainment management company specializing in the procurement and development of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Talent in Australia. We also believe in curating audiences that are often overlooked by the mainstream media. We are looking to create a database to list First Nations talent across Australia and provide prospective bookers of talent and various projects, an easy ‘one-stop-shop’ of Indigenous and Islander creatives. Crossing the spectrum of engagements, whether it be performance based, talent and/or corporate speaking engagements, we want a space whereby organisations can plan events and book all of their talent through one website.
STEPH TISDELL, a proud Ydinji woman and performer, in partnership with ARTIE LAING, CEO of A-List Entertainment, have come together to found FNTA. Tisdell conceived the idea after she was approached by an organisation who asked to help put them in touch with other speakers when she was unable to take part in their project. She listed the copious talent she had come across over the years and realised that while the talent was vast, they weren’t being promoted or managed the way their talent deserves. She asked herself the question “why doesn’t Australia know about the deadly blak talent we have?” FNTA was her answer. With 25 years in the artist management business, Artie Laing represents the cream of Australian comedic talent, has produced over 40 comedy specials and shares Steph’s passion and drive to bring this project to life. With a shared vision and the First Nations and artist perspective from Tisdell combined with the business know-how and resources from Laing, it’s time to put First Nations people on top of Australia’s talent database.
